"We need joy as we need air. We need love as we need water. We need each other as we need the earth we share."
Maya Angelou
The last few weeks of summer are here and the transition into fall is full of visible and physical changes. The practice of yoga is one of unity and over the last ~ 18 months, I have taken the time to explore what that actually means to me and how I want to continue teaching movement and meditation. Offering practices that are affordable, adaptable, and equitable is a priority especially now in a time where there is a lot happening with injustice, natural disasters, climate change, and the ongoing pandemic. Yoga, mindfulness, connection, and community are valuable resources that have the power to uplift and empower during difficult times.
Dr. Shailla Vaidya states "our collective power can change the world".
Personal ethics, integrity, self awareness, moving, breathing, 5+ sense perception, focus, meditation/rest, and interconnectedness is yoga.
In addition to the offerings below, my hope is that others will donate $ that would otherwise be spent on a yoga class to a cause that needs support.
World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies through times of crisis and beyond, within the last few weeks they have fed people in need in Haiti and are now in Kabul.
Together Rising transforms collective heartbreak into effective action. As of 8/27/21, Together Rising has raised $578,099.77 for urgent relief in Haiti.
Choose Love is a humanitarian organization of volunteers that raise awareness and funds to support refugees and displaced persons, providing food, clothes, shelter, medical care, psychosocial support, and informal education for communities in need.

Please note, care will be taken to remain safely distanced.
These FREE classes are a precursor to my Virtual Fall Yoga series that will start on
Wednesday September 29, 7p-815p ET.
My aim is to continue offering pay-as-you-can classes and a free class per season.
Creating a virtual space of support for these offerings has been such a positive way to find connection and belonging within community. I look forward to continuing it! Feel free to share these offerings with friends and family.
For those of you who are not local, I have uploaded a few short sequences on my YouTube page.
With love and care,
Michelle
