Rest

"Winter reminds us that everyone and everything needs some quiet time."
Katrina Mayer

This is the time of year that seems to speed up quickly, there is a rush of people everywhere as if there is a finish line to get through December. Many of us are still trying to find normalcy with seasonal events/activities as the pandemic surges on. In between work and parenting, I've been purposely trying to find small moments in the day to sit quietly with a cup of tea/coffee, read a book, snuggle my dog, watch the birds, or listen to music.

Octavia Raheem says, " Sitting still, simply breathing, laying down, allowing rest, moving slowly, staying present. These are advanced yoga practices."

This is my wish for all of you.

I recorded a slow and gentle 1 hour~ish mindful movement practice on my YouTube to welcome our season of winter. This way you can choose to practice whenever and wherever it feels right for you. My dog Lilly apologizes for her ~30 seconds of barking half way through the practice, sometimes sounds act as perceived threats on home and hearth for dogs;-)

I am immensely grateful for all of you, who continue to stay connected and show up in this wonderful community, it keeps me going. Thinking of you all and I hope that these next few weeks of December into January bring bright spots of joy and laughter which is such a good immunity boost.

I'm planning an online winter series starting in late January!
I will send details and remind you all as we get closer...

Hope you all have a restful and healthy New Year!

Warmly, Michelle
